The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a student worker for The Research and Innovation Department. This position will work the front desk of the Innevation Center and serve as the first point of contact for all Innevation Center patrons. This position is open for all majors and is not exclusive to business students. The Innevation Center is located off-campus at 450 Sinclair St., Reno. The candidate selected for this position must be available and willing to work Tuesdays and Thursdays through the Fall 2026 semester. Responsibilities Answering questions and providing information on the Innevation Center services both over the phone and in person Building and maintaining professional relationships with the Innevation Center's large community of members who use the space on a routine basis Provide tours, take payments, log member information, do building walk-throughs, schedule events and meetings, and otherwise assist and direct patrons as needed Assist the Innevation Center managers with various building operations and event logistics tasks such as room set up/tear down, event coordination, development of services, and interfacing with University Facilities Perform various clerical duties as needed Required Qualifications Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno as an undergraduate student Candidate must be enrolled in at least 1 credit Candidate must be able to regularly work a minimum of 15 hours per week Candidate must be able to work onsite Candidate must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills including good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and independent thinking Candidate must enjoy working with people and be detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and reliable Preferred Qualifications Candidates with experience in customer service, working in a professional office environment, and a fast-paced business environment are encouraged to apply Experience operating audio-visual equipment such as projectors, speakers and microphones, and video conferencing equipment is preferred but not required Schedule Expected hours to work per week: 15-25 This position can work up to 25 hours per week during the semester and more during Summer and Winter breaks. Candidate must be able to regularly work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Work times are available Monday-Saturday, with weekend and evening hours available.
