The UNM Honors College is currently seeking a professional and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to the Dean. This position is instrumental in providing comprehensive office support, assisting in various administrative tasks, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the college. Provide staff and office support for the dean, including screening and handling telephone communications, greeting and directing visitors, and addressing administrative problems and inquiries as appropriate. Act as a primary point of contact and liaison between the office, students, and external constituents regarding a range of day-to-day issues. Organize and facilitate meetings and special events by scheduling and coordinating dates, times, venues, attendance, agendas, and facilities including catering and parking arrangements for events. Take minutes and provide administrative support, following up on matters arising from meetings. Compose and prepare written documentation and correspondence for the office. Screen and evaluate incoming and outgoing correspondence, preparing responses as needed. Schedule and coordinate the dean's appointments and travel arrangements, and oversee daily office activities. Gather, enter, and update data to maintain departmental records and databases as required. Establish and maintain files and records for the office. Coordinate and oversee the daily management of supplies, equipment, and facilities for the organization. This includes maintenance, inventory management, logistics, security, and related activities. Perform miscellaneous departmental job-related duties as assigned by the Dean. High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Bachelors Degree Excellent oral and written communication skills for creating correspondence and reports. Exceptional customer service and organizational skills. Accurate and detail-oriented experience in data entry. Proficient in using MS Office, Outlook Calendar, and video conferencing software (e.g., Zoom, Teams, etc.). Previous experience in Higher Education settings. Main - Albuquerque, NM Honors College Admin (787A) Staff Regular - Full-Time Non-Exempt Hourly: $19.56- $26.58 This is a benefits eligible position.
