As a member of the hotel’s Executive Committee, the Director of Rooms plays a key leadership role with visibility to senior and corporate leadership. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position oversees the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Rooms Division—including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Security. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of the Rooms Division, ensuring operational excellence and elevated guest experiences. Drive room revenue and occupancy through rate analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning. Manage labor expenses and productivity, including schedule approvals and department budgeting. Oversee and coordinate large events and high-occupancy periods, ensuring smooth execution across departments. Monitor daily reports, house counts, and credit activity to maintain accuracy and resolve variances. Collaborate on capital projects, renovations, and major operational initiatives. Conduct weekly Rooms Division meetings and monthly financial reviews with department leaders. Hire, train, mentor, and develop department leaders in alignment with Hyatt’s values and service culture. Participate in the hotel’s Manager-on-Duty (MOD) program and support cross-functional initiatives. Qualifications Qualifications: Progressive leadership experience in luxury hotel operations, with strong knowledge of all Rooms departments. Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into operational success. Experience creating and implementing standards, procedures, and long-term strategies. Effective communicator and team leader who fosters a culture of accountability and excellence. Previous Executive Committee or senior Rooms leadership experience preferred.
