Support business development efforts in the aviation engineering market and support collaborative architecture/engineering aviation pursuits to help expand PGAL's strong nationwide aviation presence. Help build and lead a high-performing team of aviation engineers to execute new project delivery and provide engineering support for architecture aviation projects. Lead aviation engineering pursuits while developing, maintaining, and growing key client relationships in commercial service and general aviation. Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, federal agencies, and other stakeholders, including construction administration/management as well as PGAL's Architecture and Civil Engineering Teams. Actively participate in industry initiatives and events to maintain PGAL's presence and leadership in aviation design, including recruiting qualified personnel. Manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of experience in aviation civil engineering design and project management Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university A Professional Engineer (PE) license in TX, CA, or VA is required, with the expectation that licensure in all three states will ultimately be required. Additional state licensures are a plus. Strong knowledge of and experience in the application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction, including taxiways, taxilanes, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, and pavement markings, and other federal regulation processes such as preparation of FAA 7460-1 applications and 49 CFR Par 77 analyses Self-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on meeting individual and strategic goals for the aviation engineering group Aviplan, AutoCAD, and Civil3D experience and/or working knowledge of design software preferred Excellent communication, management and organizational abilities Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
