We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to: Able to collaboratively establish availability and performance objectives, measure progress towards those objectives, and implement necessary changes. Able to interpret changing technical & process needs of product teams and adjust platform and tooling meets those needs. Possesses subject matter expertise with Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies. Able to advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions. Experience with hands-on technical configuration and development. Able to provide thought leadership and mentoring to the team. Expert with agile software development methodologies.
Skill/Experience/Education Mandatory Skills + years of experience in observability, site reliability, or cloud infrastructure roles. Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services, including native monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics). Proficiency with observability stacks and APM tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack, OpsRamp, OpenTelemetry or closely aligned tools. Solid understanding of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools. Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or similar). Deep knowledge of system performance tuning, incident management, and root cause analysis. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Desired Skills Certifications in AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect) and/or Azure (e.g., Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect). Experience with serverless and hybrid cloud architectures. Knowledge of security and compliance monitoring in cloud environments. Background in software development or SRE.
