Child Nutrition Computer Operator

Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for providing computer operation support to the Child Nutrition Director.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills: Must have a minimum 3 years office/clerical experience Minimum of 45-50 wpm typing Experience in basic computer operations: Word, Excel, Google Expertise in operating all types of office equipment Good organizational skills

Major Responsibilities and Duties: Child Nutrition Operations 1. Maintain all data entry and handle the inventory of all purchased and commodity food and non-food items on a software system.
2. Receives, sorts, and inputs weekly food and non-food orders (Labatt, Sysco, Gulf Coast).
3. Submits weekly produce bid and awards vendor with lowest cost/best quality (3 quotes required).
4. Reviews invoices from Labatt, Gulf Coast, Sysco, and produce vendors for accuracy.
5. Assists in creating order guide based on awarded vendors from Texas 20 Purchasing Cooperative annually, before the start of the school year. 6. Review all warehouse orders and make adjustments, as needed. 7. Receive all requests and input data. 8. Communicate closely with the warehouse manager regarding all adjustments needed for inventory purposes.
9. Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Child Nutrition Director or designee.

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) Environment: Office setting Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
