Responsibilities The candidate hired for this full-time position will have immediate and meaningful interaction with clients, advisors and other attorneys. Duties will include participating in client meetings, preparing estate planning documents, irrevocable trusts, corporate documents, premarital agreements, and deeds, research, federal estate and gift tax return preparation, and estate administration. Expectation is that candidate will become an active member in the bar and will cultivate professional networks. Qualifications Candidate must be licensed in North Carolina. At least one year of law firm experience, licensure in South Carolina (or the ability to obtain through Uniform Bar Exam), and a tax background (CPA or LL.M. in Taxation) are preferred. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with clients, advisors and other attorneys, both verbally and in writing, are required. The desire to develop mastery of a diverse and sophisticated practice is essential. $125,000 for first year associate. Salary commensurate with experience for more senior attorney.
