Geotechnical Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Geotechnical Project Manager with extensive experience in Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) projects. The successful candidate will lead geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while meeting all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage geotechnical projects in compliance with TxDOT standards. Prepare and review foundation designs and geotechnical reports. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers and construction managers. Conduct site investigations and soil mechanics analysis to assess site conditions. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and quality control standards. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations effectively. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies. Utilize AutoCAD for design and reporting purposes. Prepare technical reports and documentation for project approval.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical project management, specifically with TxDOT. Strong knowledge of foundation design principles and soil mechanics. Experience with site investigation and evaluation of construction materials. Familiarity with environmental regulations applicable to geotechnical engineering. Proven skills in budget management and project risk assessment. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical reporting.
