We are seeking a seasoned
IT Management Consultant
to support a high-impact automation initiative within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C), specifically the Financial Management Data and Digital Transformation (FMDDT) Automation as a Service (AaaS) portfolio. The IT Management Consultant will support the Program Manager in overseeing the delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) with a focus on enhancing audit readiness and financial operations.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Agile or SAFe program management, combined with a solid understanding of automation technologies and federal financial management processes.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end program management for automation projects, ensuring alignment with Navy FM&C strategic goals
Coordinate across developers, business analysts, and Navy stakeholders
Oversee the development and deployment of attended and unattended bots, with a roadmap toward full unattended automation
Apply Agile or SAFe methodologies to manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure integration of RPA solutions with existing systems and data platforms (e.g., Palantir)
Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity, data governance, and audit standards
Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders through dashboards, briefings, and reports
Lead and attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
Assist in managing contract deliverables and processes
Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
Active Secret Security Clearance
7+ years of experience in IT program or project management, with at least 3 years in automation or RPA environments
Proven experience managing Agile or SAFe projects (certification : SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP, or equivalent)
Proven track record of delivering projects using agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) with tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps for project management
Familiarity with UiPath or similar RPA platforms
Familiarity with MS Power Automate and other Power Apps
Experience with Palantir or similar data integration platforms
Working knowledge Python, C#, JavaScript, and VB.NET for scripting, custom bot development, and integration with RPA tools
Expertise in process mining
Familiarity with document understanding, OCR, and AI/ML integration in automation workflows
Experience with DoD and Navy financial systems
Strong understanding of federal financial management and audit processes
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
certifications include UiPath Advanced RPA Developer, Automation Anywhere Certified Master RPA Professional, Blue Prism Developer Certification, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Ability and willingness to travel domestically using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
Compensation Policy:
Salary ranges displayed are typical for this position, but MBC considers multiple factors when extending an offer. Factors include the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's qualifications, and the contractual terms of the program.
