Key Responsibilities:
- Develop CAD plans and details for a variety of aviation infrastructure projects including terminal expansions, taxiways, and runways.
- Assist in CAD/BIM project setup ensuring adherence to aviation-specific design standards.
- Meet CAD/BIM deliverables independently and assist project managers in preparing bid and construction documents.
- Advance your expertise in approved CAD and BIM applications tailored for aviation projects.
- Ensure accurate integration of CAD/BIM technology with other construction and design software.
- Maintain electronic project files and archives in line with company and client requirements.
- Prepare as-built plans and documentation for aviation facilities and airfield projects.
- Guide CAD/BIM techniques and best practices to junior staff and technicians.
- Implement BIM protocols and systems for new aviation projects to enhance collaboration.
- Create and establish BIM documentation and workflow processes specific to aviation projects.
- Coordinate work with production centers across various locations to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- 3-8+ years of relevant experience, particularly in aviation or transportation infrastructure projects.
- A minimum of a 2-year diploma from an accredited college is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk and Bentley software products within an engineering context, especially for aviation-related structural plans.
- Knowledge of MS Office and 3D modeling software, along with experience in computer networking and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with additional CAD software such as Revit, Tekla, OpenRoads, and OpenBuildings is advantageous.
- A strong client-focused mindset, committed to delivering top-quality aviation infrastructure solutions.
