STARTING RATE: $35.00 - $48.00 (Depending Upon Experience)1st Shift (6.30 am-3.00 pm)Earn up to an additional $800 annually in Attendance BonusOn Demand Pay: Access your pay as soon as you've earned it!BENEFITSMedical, dental, and vision benefits-effective on date of hireGenerous paid time off benefits and 11 paid HolidaysCompany-paid life insurance401k plan with company matchWELL-BEINGLow-cost nutrition and mental health visitsUp to $150-off your gym membership annuallyDiscounted Pet Insurances for your furry friendsAccess to individualized financial planning meetingsEmployee Discount Program with savings on electronics, home goods, gym equipment, and moreDiscounted family caregiving supportMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBWork with production and engineering to create new class 101 injection molds and perform repairs/modifications on existing injection molds using various tool room equipment including EDM and CNC's.MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIESKey Responsibilities:Mold Manufacturing & SupportManufacture new injection molds based on customer specifications.Create fixtures and auxiliary equipment to support production needs.Perform repairs and modifications on existing molds using equipment such as CNC machines and EDM.Planning & SchedulingPlan and schedule mold-making projects to meet quoted hours and delivery timelines.Coordinate with team members and prepare necessary prints and instructions.Team CollaborationParticipate in kick-off meetings and contribute to mold design and build discussions.Guide, train, and supervise assigned helpers or junior staff.Process Documentation & CommunicationComplete necessary paperwork and detailed instructions for mold assembly and maintenance.Assess completed jobs for continuous improvement opportunities.Quality & Safety AssurancePromote and maintain high standards for product quality, safety, and cleanliness.Ensure compliance with ISO and other quality standards.Equipment Use & MaintenanceOperate a variety of manual and CNC tool room equipment 3-axis mills, lathes, EDM sinker, and wire EDM, and surface grinders.Clean equipment and report maintenance issues to the shop supervisor.Maintain a clean and organized work areaAddition Duties:Work overtime as needed depending on project demands.Perform other duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONSRequirements:High School education or equivalent.Completion of a four-year state certified mold making apprenticeship program, or demonstration of equivelacy5+ years of mold making experience5+ years of tool room experience.Technical experience with troubleshooting injection molding related issuesStrong technical/mechanical aptitudeStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsWell versed in tool design theory, including tool steel selection and manipulationExcellent math skills (use geometry, trigonometry, shop mathematics, and calculator proficiently)Efficient at programming and running shop machinery (CNC machining centers, High-Speed-Milling, EDM sinker, WEDM, etc.)CNC programming skills (Vero and SOLIDWORKS)Knowledge of Makino CNC and Charmilles Wire EDM a plusAbility to use pneumatic and power toolsThorough knowledge of inspection equipment and techniquesComputer skills (for interoffice email and job communication)Ability to manage multiple projectsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or blueprint formatExcellent hand/eye coordination: manual dexterity, good visionMust not receive more than one (1) NCR per quarter and no more than four (4) NCR's within a yearReceive an annual performance review of 75% or aboveAbility to lift up to 50lbsSpeak, read, and write English to be easily understoodViant is a global medical device design and manufacturing services provider that partners and innovates with customers to provide the highest quality, life enhancing medical devices.
