For the 2025-2026 academic year, the Department of Theatre and Dance is looking for a creative, detail-oriented student employee to join the department's Communications team as a Marketing Student Associate. This position provides essential support for the department's marketing initiatives, and offers an opportunity to develop professional experience in arts administration and communications in an academic setting. Assist in the execution of email marketing campaigns. Coordinate placement of event and promotional details across online event calendars. Assist in the creation and refinement of community engagement contact lists. Make edits to the department website, including writing brief news features and editing the online directory. Distribute print collateral across campus. Update marketing signage and television monitors in the F. Loren Winship Drama building. Depending on the interests of the candidate, additional duties may include: social media contribution, graphic design tasks, video trailer creation, and written contributions to the department's blog Required Qualifications
Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least six credit hours. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to adhere to hard deadlines and work cohesively within a small team. Strong writing and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to write in alignment with university's and department's still guides. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms. Must be highly organized and have strong time management skills. Must be majoring in or have a strong interest in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, writing, arts administration and/or non-profit management. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Drupal (CMS) or other website management tools. Experience with email newsletter platforms. Experience with Photoshop/Adobe. Experience with iMovie or other video editing software. Experience with graphic design. Salary Range $14.50 per hour
