Process Simulation Engineer
Body Shop Tooling
Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Process Simulation Engineer
Body Shop Tooling to join their team. As a Process Simulation Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative tooling solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Location: Southfield, MI Pay Range: Competitive What's the Job? Conduct feasibility studies and process engineering for tooling fixtures in Body in White assembly. Define robotics and human operations in a 3D environment. Develop 3D layouts for robotic simulations and validate tooling feasibility. Simulate robot movements to verify cycle times and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Interact with stakeholders to gather project input and support customer reviews. What's Needed? Approximately 4 to 5+ years of experience in process simulation design for body shop tooling. Proficiency in Siemens Process Simulation Software as an Operator/Designer. Strong understanding of mechanical design tooling fixtures and auto assembly strategies. Experience with major 3D modeling tools (NX, Catia, Solidworks) and simulation tools (Process Simulate, Delmia). Ability to travel 5-20% for project needs and technical support. What's in it for me?
