full-time, on-site position
available in
Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, Fresno, or Riverside, CA .
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Finance Director will lead the organizations financial strategy and daily accounting operations across multiple entities, including a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC. This position plays a key role in strategic planning, compliance, and financial reporting while managing internal and outsourced accounting functions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with nonprofit finance expertise and strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee general ledger, payroll, A/P and A/R, reconciliations, and journal entries Lead monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis across entities Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning Coordinate audits, tax filings (990s, 199s), and maintain GAAP compliance Collaborate with executive leadership, development, and program teams on financial strategy and grant reporting
QUALIFICATIONS:
Expertise in nonprofit fund accounting, GAAP, and financial compliance Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with outsourced vendors Strong analytical mindset with a collaborative leadership style Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and tools like BILL.com Knowledge of 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC finance is highly desirable
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a
full-time, direct hire opportunity
offering a salary range of
$145,000 to $165,000 , depending on experience. The organization provides
