Business Analyst
with a strong background in
specialty insurance
to drive the successful development and implementation of business systems. This role requires deep collaboration with product leaders, technical teams, and end-users to ensure that business needs are accurately captured, clearly documented, and effectively delivered. The ideal candidate brings a combination of analytical expertise, insurance domain knowledge, Agile methodology experience, and hands-on involvement in QA testing. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business processes, requirements, and workflows specific to the
specialty insurance
sector. Translate complex business needs into
clear, actionable requirements , user stories, use cases, and process flows. Lead or participate in
Agile ceremonies
such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups. Serve as the liaison between business users and development teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives. Support
QA efforts , including the creation of test plans, execution of test cases, and defect tracking and resolution. Drive continuous improvement by monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes within the healthcare and specialty insurance space. Troubleshoot system and process issues, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions. Manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in
Business, Information Systems , or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years
of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on
specialty insurance
(policy and claims systems). Proven success in
requirements elicitation and documentation
within insurance operations. Hands-on experience with
Agile methodologies
(Scrum, sprint planning, demos). Solid experience in
QA testing , including test case development, execution, and defect management. Proficient with tools such as
JIRA, Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite . Strong
communication and facilitation skills
across technical and non-technical teams. Analytical mindset with a
proactive and inquisitive approach
to solving problems. Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working under tight deadlines. Insurance operations background or familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks is a plus. Preferred Attributes: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
