Job Title: Assistant Manager
Essential Function
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.
Primary Duties
30% Brand: Provide supervision and support in planning associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Act as the main contact to resolve customer issues. Analyze store trends and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve results. Recruit actively to build a strong network of candidates. Identify strengths and opportunities for associates and address them through coaching. Maintain positive relations and communicate regularly with team and peers. Foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
30% Operations: Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Support digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and follow through on directives and projects.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Maintain a safe environment for all, follow policies, and protect assets through inventory and cash control. Ensure compliance with HAZMAT training and safety regulations.
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years or older
Preferred 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
Preferred 1+ year management experience
Ability to lead and support teams to meet objectives
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability
Cosmetology license desirable but not required
