Job Title: Assistant Manager

Essential Function

Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in these areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Primary Duties

30% Brand:

Provides supervision and supports the direction & planning of associates’ daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximizing sales/KPIs, and driving customer loyalty. Ensures brand standards are met, acts as main contact for customer issues, and analyzes store trends.

30% People:

Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results. Recruits and builds strong networks of candidates. Addresses associate strengths and opportunities through coaching. Maintains positive relations and communication, fostering diversity and inclusion.

30% Operations:

Ensures execution of company processes through training, management, and analysis. Manages inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and supports digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment.

10% Safety/Loss Prevention:

Maintains a safe environment, enforces policies, protects assets, and ensures compliance with safety training and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills/Abilities And Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be 18 years or older

Preferred 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience

Preferred 1+ year management experience

Ability to lead and support a team to meet objectives

Effective communication skills

Scheduling availability

Cosmetology license desirable but not required
