Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Orange, CA Salary:
$110,000 to $150,000 + Full Benefits + Bonus Sign-on Bonus:
$10,000 Relocation Assistance Available Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing a full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemicals. Responsibilities include providing quality patient care, ensuring timely throughput of patients, and performing exams. Operates and performs quality control on stationary and portable scintillation equipment, including gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanners, including injection of CT contrast media, image acquisition, and reformatting. Conducts scans and procedures to support scanner qualification for research trials. Creates and programs study-specific protocols, including administration, imaging, and reformatting, under supervision. Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Customer service skills appropriate to the role Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and ALARA principles Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program Effective communication skills in English Ability to provide on-call and callback services as needed Minimum one year of full-time experience as a CNMT Current BLS certification Valid California CNMT license Active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure Preferred Qualifications: Minimum one year of full-time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures Knowledge of university and medical center policies, procedures, and forms Job Type: Full-time Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year Benefits include: 401(k) and matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Relocation assistance Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance
