Join our innovative team providing specialized remote education services to students with exceptional learning needs across New Hampshire's virtual school programs. We're seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher who excels in technology-enhanced learning environments. Position Highlights This remote opportunity offers 36 hours per week managing a focused caseload of 19 students spanning grades kindergarten through twelve. You'll work independently while maintaining strong collaborative partnerships with educational teams, families, and community support services throughout the state. Teaching Responsibilities Implement individualized curriculum modifications and accommodations through virtual platforms Provide direct instruction in academic skills, social emotional learning, and functional life skills Develop comprehensive behavior support plans and crisis intervention strategies Coordinate with general education teachers to facilitate inclusive learning opportunities Conduct virtual parent training sessions and family support meetings Prepare detailed progress reports and facilitate annual IEP reviews Ensure compliance with federal and state special education requirements and timelines Student Services Specialization Your caseload will encompass students with learning disabilities requiring intensive reading and math interventions, students with developmental disabilities needing functional skill instruction, and students with behavioral challenges requiring positive behavior supports. You'll adapt evidence-based practices for effective online delivery across diverse learning profiles. Professional Requirements Master's degree in Special Education from nationally accredited institution Valid New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification Minimum two years of direct experience in special education classroom settings Demonstrated expertise in differentiated instruction and universal design for learning Proficiency with educational technology platforms and data management systems Strong background in positive behavior interventions and trauma-informed practices Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural competency Remote Work Expectations This position requires comfort with various online learning platforms, digital assessment tools, and virtual collaboration software.
