Position Overview This remote special education teaching position offers the flexibility of working from home while providing essential services to students with special needs. You'll be working in a virtual classroom environment, serving approximately 45-50 students across grades K-8. Our program focuses on individualized instruction that meets each student's unique learning profile and IEP goals. Weekly Commitment: 36 hours per week Grade Levels: Elementary through Middle School (K-8) Caseload: 45-50 students Service Areas: Academic support, behavioral interventions, transition planning, and life skills instruction Core Responsibilities In this role, you'll develop and implement individualized education programs while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with general education teachers, parents, and support staff. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting virtual direct instruction sessions, adapting curriculum materials for diverse learning needs, and monitoring student progress through data collection and analysis. You'll facilitate IEP meetings and annual reviews using video conferencing platforms, ensuring all stakeholders remain engaged in the educational planning process. Progress monitoring and documentation will be essential components of your role, requiring attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Virtual classroom management techniques will be crucial as you create engaging, structured learning environments that promote student success. You'll also provide consultation services to general education teachers, offering strategies for inclusive practices and accommodations. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Special Education or related field Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license Minimum 2 years of school-based special education experience Experience with virtual learning platforms and educational technology Strong communication skills for remote collaboration Reliable internet connection and quiet home workspace Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom, and learning management systems Technical Requirements This position requires comfort with technology platforms commonly used in virtual education. You'll need access to a computer with webcam and microphone capabilities, along with the ability to navigate multiple software applications simultaneously during instruction and meetings.
