We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our remote education team serving students with exceptional needs across New Hampshire's virtual learning initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to utilize innovative instructional technology while providing individualized educational support. Program Structure This full-time remote position includes 37.5 hours weekly with a manageable caseload of approximately 21 students across all grade levels from early elementary through high school transition programs. You'll provide specialized instruction through secure online platforms while fostering meaningful relationships essential to student success. Educational Responsibilities Design and deliver individualized instruction targeting specific learning goals and objectives Implement evidence-based interventions for students with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive educational services Provide co-teaching support and consultation for inclusive virtual learning environments Develop transition planning services for students preparing for post-secondary education and employment Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery Participate in virtual professional development and continuing education opportunities Student Population Focus Your caseload will include students with autism spectrum disorders requiring structured learning environments, students with intellectual disabilities needing functional academics instruction, and students with emotional disturbances requiring therapeutic educational approaches. You'll serve learners from elementary through transition-age programs. Required Credentials Master's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Student Education, or related field Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license Two years minimum experience providing special education services in school environments Proven ability to implement research-based instructional strategies effectively Experience with virtual learning platforms and assistive technology applications Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements Excellent collaboration and communication skills with diverse stakeholders Virtual Learning Environment This position requires expertise in online instructional design, digital curriculum adaptation, and virtual classroom management.
