About the Role The Company is seeking a Power and Chemicals Underwriter - Vice President to join its Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit across the enterprise. This role involves managing a portfolio of relationships, including the production of various credit reviews and supporting ad-hoc transactions. The Underwriter will also be involved in strategic initiatives, and projects, and will be expected to have a strong background in risk management, with the ability to provide strategic insights and a keen sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues.
Applicants must have 6-10 years of risk-related credit work experience in banking or financial institutions, with a proven ability to engage with regulators and internal control functions. The role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting, and a Master's degree is preferred. Key responsibilities include the adoption of leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring, as well as the ability to make decisions under pressure and short timelines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, be adept at financial analysis, and have a strong understanding of capital markets products and complex financing structures. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in client relationships, business partnership, and the ability to navigate organizational complexity.
