Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary
\Perform diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine equipment to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This includes operating imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrator, and radiation survey instruments.

- Perform scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician. \
- Manipulate and analyze images to produce high-quality results. \
- Prepare and administer radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses. \
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functioning. \
- Collaborate with physicians to provide quality data for interpretation. \
- Administer diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a physician. \
- Demonstrate excellent patient care skills and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams. \
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in nuclear medicine technology. \
- Meet productivity and quality standards as required by the department. \
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. \
- Support a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
\Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field is required.
\Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine Technology is preferred.
\Ongoing licensure and certification are required.
\Familiarity with nuclear medicine equipment, technologies, and procedures is essential.
\Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
\Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
\Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is required.
\Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not required.
\Graduate of an approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
\Experience working in a nuclear medicine department or related field is desirable.
\Knowledge of computerized systems and software used in nuclear medicine is beneficial.
