Imaging Technologist

Our Imaging Technologists operate imaging devices, computers, ECG units, laboratory equipment, dose calibrators, and radiation survey instruments. They perform scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physicians, manipulate images, conduct quantitative studies, and archive patient data on computer systems.
- Perform various medical imaging procedures using advanced technology.
- Prepare radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses, ensuring proper quantities are available.
- Conduct quality control and maintenance procedures for scanning equipment, monitoring performance and statistics.
- Consult with physicians, presenting images and patient studies for interpretation.
- Administer diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required. Certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) is also necessary. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
