Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position with IV start skills and required BLS and ACLS certifications.Job Details•Work in a 27-bed combined Medical Surgical unit,•Patient population includes general surgery, orthopedics, CHF, diabetes, general illness, and sepsis,•Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5,•Team includes 3 aides and a unit secretary,•Night shifts with a 3x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00,•Every other weekend and some holiday shifts required,•Uses MEDITECH EMR; prior experience with the system not required,•Self-scheduling model with 4-week schedule periods,•Float rotation to overflow/first medical unit and occasionally to ICU's less critical patients may occur,Job Requirements•Active RN license in NC at the time of consideration,•Graduate of an accredited school of nursing,•Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,•IV start skills required,•Minimum 1 year recent relevant Med/Surg experience within 3 years,•No license restrictions or pending actions,•2 supervisory references required,•Travel nursing experience and 2 years' Med/Surg experience preferred,•Copy of certifications required for consideration,Additional Information•Responsible for caring for a range of medical and surgical patients, including those with complex diagnoses,•Support available from aides and a dedicated unit secretary,•Orientation for travelers includes 3 shifts: one house-wide and two on the unit,•Candidates should expect to float per rotation and support overflow areas as needed,•Must comply with emergency and disaster preparedness policies,•Holiday RTO should be kept to a minimum,•Locals accepted at the regular rate,•Scrub requirements not specified,),•hash,:•9284231608784353747,
