Labor and Employment Associate

Job Overview A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience in employment-related litigation, including defense and counseling for employers. This role offers the opportunity to work on class action matters and wage and hour issues, either in the Los Angeles or Orange County office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent writing and communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to professional excellence. Duties Defend and counsel employers in employment-related litigation matters. Handle class action cases, including strategy development and case management. Provide legal advice on wage and hour issues. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery. Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other proceedings. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies. Assist in managing complex employment law matters from inception through resolution. Requirements 3 to 5 years of experience in employment-related litigation. Experience defending and counseling employers in labor and employment matters. Familiarity with class action litigation and wage and hour issues. Strong academic credentials and a record of professional achievement. Excellent writing, research, and oral communication skills. Proven work ethic and commitment to providing top-tier client service. Must be in good standing with the California Bar. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in the California Bar. Skills Expertise in labor and employment law, including litigation and compliance. Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex cases. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
