Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Associate Attorney to join its nationally recognized Employment and Labor practice in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of employment defense experience, including litigation defense of wage and hour class actions, discrimination, and retaliation matters. Location: Duties: Defend clients in wage and hour class actions, discrimination, and retaliation cases Draft motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions Advise clients on employment policies, procedures, and key legal risks Draft employment agreements, training programs, and auditing programs for employers Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice on employment law matters Represent clients in litigation and negotiate favorable settlements Collaborate with other offices and sectors to provide holistic legal solutions Engage in crisis management services and conduct workplace investigations Participate in webinars, seminars, and speaking engagements to provide thought leadership Contribute to a weekly newsletter and act as a media source on employment law developments Requirements: 3-4 years of solid experience in employment defense litigation Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills Excellent legal research and analytical abilities Effective problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively Experience advising on employment practices and conducting training programs is a plus California Bar membership in good standing Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications: Active membership in the California State Bar Skills: Employment Defense Litigation Wage and Hour Class Actions Discrimination and Retaliation Defense Legal Research and Writing Client Counseling and Advice Employment Law Compliance Drafting Employment Agreements and Policies Crisis Management and Investigations Public Speaking and Presentations Financial benefits, including retirement and other perks Collaborative and inclusive work culture Opportunities for professional development and advancement Company info
