Senior Mechanical Power Engineer
to help clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects while serving as Engineer of Record or Owner’s Engineer.

Responsibilities
Lead the project mechanical team and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
Monitor and report project status to stakeholders
Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects on technical and contractual levels
Develop and deliver construction drawings, bid specifications, equipment sizing calculations, technical memos, bid evaluations, code reviews, feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates as appropriate
Lead design for power generation systems including simple cycle, combined cycle, distributed generation, and RICE projects when applicable
Preferred Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design
Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience or subject matter expertise
Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation
Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm is desired
Minimum 10 years of experience, ideally in the fossil power industry with a blend of design and owner’s engineer projects
Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Willing to mentor less experienced engineers and EITs
Proficient in working within an established schedule and budget
Travel less than 10% for meetings with clients and vendors as well as project site visits
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience
Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license
Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)

Compensation range: The targeted salary range for this position (based on experience and location) is $108,661 - $204,250.
