David's Bridal . Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They are responsible for exemplifying friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and providing superior customer service. Alterations Specialists are members of the store team and demonstrate the value and qualities of the David’s Bridal brand. Responsibilities
Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person; communicate clearly and concisely, adapt style to suit customers by problem solving, demonstrate excellent phone skills, and resolve conflicts. Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience. Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, meeting needs, and supporting customers; complete operational checklists and address emotional and practical needs. Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once and contribute to the store’s Five-Star Customer Service goal. Proactively address customer concerns with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with the leadership team. Explain how alterations contribute to the final fit of gowns in partnership with Alterations; promote all alteration services and personalization options. Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization. Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and ensure attire compliance with Dress Code Policy. Greets and escorts alterations customers to and from appointments; maintain the alterations room in a clean and organized state. Inspect all garments altered/steamed/pressed to verify pristine condition before delivery to the customer. Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information; build long-term relationships to meet customer satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain inventory management for special orders and ensure first-quality standards for all merchandise. Ensure alteration pricing is at company standards; manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments to standards. Resolve customer service issues in a swift and effective manner that complies with company guidelines. Support cash wrap processes and process transactions accurately to ensure customers feel celebrated. Perform duties as assigned by store management. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production Past experience with computerized POS systems is a plus Benefits
