Seasonal Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They exemplify friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and provide superior customer service. Alterations Specialists are members of the store team and demonstrate the value and qualities of the David’s Bridal brand. Responsibilities
Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtually or in person; communicate clearly and concisely; adapt style to suit customers by problem solving; demonstrate excellent phone skills and resolve conflicts. Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience. Maintain service levels by being Prepared, Welcoming, Meeting needs, and being there for all customers; complete operational checklist tasks and address customers’ emotional and practical needs. Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time and contribute to the store’s Five-Star Customer Service. Address customer concerns proactively with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with the leadership team. Explain how alterations can enhance the dress for the event; promote all alteration services and personalization options. Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting with customers on gown fit and customization. Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and comply with Dress Code Policy. Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments. Inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed to verify pristine condition before delivery to customers. Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information. Build long-term relationships with customers to meet and exceed satisfaction and loyalty. Manage alterations inventory by processing special orders pickups and ensuring first-quality standards for all merchandise. Ensure alteration pricing is at company standards. Manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning to company standards. Resolve customer service issues swiftly and in accordance with company guidelines. Support all cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately to make every customer feel celebrated. Maintain the alterations room in a clean and well-organized condition. Performs duties and tasks as assigned by store management. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production Prior experience with computerized POS systems is a plus Seasonal Benefits & Compensation
