Store Director- King\'s/Balducci\'s District NY/CT/NJ Albertson\'s is seeking an

experienced

grocery Store Director to lead within our specialty grocery district. This district includes our premier East Coast specialty banners, Kings and Balducci\'s, known for their exceptional quality and customer service. All SDs must be willing and able to work and train at any store within the district where they are hired. Responsibilities

Overall management responsibility for the operation of a retail grocery store, including store performance, cash control, inventory and security, customer service, and staff management. Track, analyze and act to improve store performance by forecasting weekly/daily sales goals and meeting or exceeding established goals. Communicate sales goals, department performance and opportunities with staff to ensure positive results. Forecast, schedule, and monitor labor to align with sales and productivity guidelines and wage budgets; propose actions to address cost control issues. Develop and direct the execution of strategies to improve product placement and appearance; manage displays and promotions; ensure in-stock conditions. Ensure proper cash handling, accounting, security, maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. Hire, train, develop, and manage job performance of store employees; provide input on hiring and disciplinary actions up to termination. Provide feedback, set performance expectations, and offer developmental opportunities. Maintain professional relationships with union officials (if applicable) and ensure compliance with collective bargaining provisions. Maintain relationships with direct reports, peers, supervisors, suppliers, and customers; handle complex situations effectively. Ensure staffing levels meet labor, sales, and customer needs; participate in recruiting and final hiring decisions. Ensure new hires receive required training and policies; evaluate new hires and determine probationary eligibility. Comply with company policies and procedures; uphold food safety, sanitation, and worker safety standards; manage recalls and consumer protection requirements. Qualifications

Education Level: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; College degree preferred. Experience: 3–5 years as a Store Manager or 5+ years in an Assistant Manager role with P&L ownership, inventory ordering, and schedule writing; retail grocery experience required; food safety certification preferred; experience working with unions preferred. Skills: Strong planning and organizational skills; analytical abilities; strong customer service and supervisory skills; leadership and communication (verbal and written); computer literacy; ability to make quality decisions under time constraints; ability to build positive relationships; P&L ownership; schedule writing; perishable inventory management. Travel

Travel to stores within the hired district for trainings and meetings. Physical Environment

Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods. Lift up to approximately 55 lbs. May require desk or computer work; stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be needed. Fast-paced workdays with holiday, evening and weekend requirements. Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $85,000.00 – $120,000.00 annually. Starting salary based on location, experience, and qualifications. Potential for quarterly bonus; total compensation may include 12 days PTO, 40 hrs of sick time, 6 holidays, 401k match up to 7%, pet insurance, EPA benefits, and additional benefits. Disclaimer
