Responsibilities
- Provide a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, maintaining eye contact, and offering friendly service.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
- Follow company best practices across all work centers and assist customers with merchandise and questions in a courteous manner.
- Process transactions accurately and handle cash, checks, or other payment methods per company procedures.
- Assist in loss prevention, safety, and security efforts; maintain a safe shopping environment.
- Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting high-touch areas) and restock as needed.
- Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and ensure timely merchandising per monthly guidelines.
- Understand MOS (Mark-Out-of-Stock) policies and merchandise protection standards.
- Work to maximize productivity by following store best practices and minimizing unnecessary steps.

Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements / ADA
- Ability to use store equipment, including registers and PDAs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of shift.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, lift up to 25 pounds (20 pounds for stockroom shifts), and operate janitorial equipment.
