Responsibilities

• General purpose: Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. Be engaged in tasks as assigned and perform a range of functions in all areas of the store as business needs require.
• Maintain safety as the number one priority and practice safe behaviors on the sales floor.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer service; assist customers with merchandise and questions; respond promptly to customer service needs and involve Store Leadership when needed.
• Represent and support the Company brand at all times; safeguard confidential information and assets.
• Perform cleaning tasks, replenishment, merchandising to monthly presentation guidelines, and ensure a neat, organized store that is well-maintained.
• Adhere to dress code and professional appearance standards.
• Process merchandise receipts to the sales floor promptly and maintain knowledge of merchandise by brand and department.
• Understand Loss Prevention policies and store protection standards, and follow MOS and cash handling procedures with accuracy.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to maximize productivity and minimize steps in workflow.

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to use store equipment, stand/walk for the majority of shift, and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to specified weights, and climbing as required for stockroom work.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
• Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds.
• Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
• Stockroom shifts may require lifting up to 20 pounds.
