Responsibilities | Essential Functions
- Understand safety is the number one priority and practice safe behaviors in all tasks
- Maintain a safe, clean, and accessible sales floor; report any unsafe conditions to Store Leadership
- Greet Customers with eye contact, smiles, and courtesy; treat fellow Associates with respect
- Assist Customers: register-trained, help with merchandise, and answer questions politely and knowledgeably
- Provide prompt, efficient Customer service; respond to service calls and escalate issues to Store Leadership as needed
- Represent and support the Ross brand at all times
- Perform cleaning tasks and replenish supplies to maintain a neat, merchandised store
- Adhere to dress code and professional appearance
- Perform daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat and well-merchandised
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor per guidelines and maintain brand familiarity within departments
- Understand Loss Prevention, MOS, and merchandise protection standards
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise
- Follow MOS and cash/transaction policies; maintain accuracy with tenders
- Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity by following Store best practices

Qualifications And Special Skills
- Ability to communicate with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments
Physical Requirements / ADA
- Ability to use Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store up to 100% of working time
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies
- Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds
