Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive shopping experience for Customers, including greeting with eye contact and a courteous, friendly demeanor.
  • Follow company best practices in all work centers, maintain a clean work area, and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
  • Engage in tasks across all store areas as assigned, performing additional tasks as needed to support Customer service and operational goals.
  • Support store safety by maintaining awareness on the sales floor, keeping exits clear, and reporting unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
  • Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide prompt, courteous service; handle Customer issues with help from Store Leadership when needed.
  • Represent and support the Company brand at all times; protect confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
  • Perform cleaning tasks and restock/restrooms to maintain a clean, organized store environment.
  • Adhere to the dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Support merchandising efforts, including timely receipt processing and placement of new merchandise to align with monthly presentation guidelines.
  • Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
  • Follows MOS policies and appropriate processing of each piece, with notification to Store Leadership for disposals.
  • Adhere to policies on cash, checks, charge cards, refunds, and offline procedures; maintain accuracy in handling tenders.
  • Demonstrate urgency and efficiency by following Store best practices to maximize productivity.

Qualifications and skills

  • Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical requirements / Accessibility

  • Ability to use all Store equipment (PDTs, registers, PC) as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store up to 100% of working time.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies; Stockroom shifts may involve lifting more than 20 pounds.
