Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience; greet customers in a courteous and friendly manner and maintain a clean work area.
  • Engage in tasks across store areas as assigned; perform additional tasks as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.
  • Maintain safety, awareness on the sales floor, and a clutter-free environment; report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
  • Provide prompt, courteous customer service; assist with merchandise, answer questions, and handle transactions accurately.
  • Represent and support the company brand at all times.
  • Perform cleaning tasks and replenish supplies to maintain merchandise and team areas.
  • Assist with merchandising, daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat and well-presented.
  • Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor per guidelines and maintain brand name familiarity within departments.
  • Follow Loss Prevention, MOS, cash handling, and other store policies to protect assets.
  • Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in performing duties while minimizing steps and touches in workflow.

Qualifications And Special Skills

  • Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements / ADA

  • Ability to use store equipment including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of shift.
  • Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, carrying, reaching, and stooping; occasionally push, pull and lift over 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment and rolling racks.
  • Stockroom shifts may require lifting over 20 pounds.
