Responsibilities

• General purpose: ensure customers have a positive shopping experience; greet customers, maintain a clean work area, ensure proper merchandise presentation, and be engaged in tasks as assigned across store areas.
• Maintain safety as the top priority; create a safe shopping environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service; assist with merchandise, answer questions, and support the Store Leadership when needed.
• Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
• Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters/mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies) and disinfect high-touch areas.
• Assist with merchandise flow: expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise according to monthly presentation guidelines.
• Understand Loss Prevention practices and merchandise protection standards.
• Follow MOS policies, cash handling, and other store procedures with accuracy and integrity.
• Demonstrate urgency to maximize productivity and minimize steps in workflow.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

• Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to use store equipment (PDTs, registers, PCs) as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of the work time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasional lifting over 25 pounds.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
• Stockroom shifts may require lifting up to 20 pounds.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $16.50 - $17.00. This range is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, seniority, and location. The range is one component of total compensation.
