Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Understand that safety is the top priority and practice safe behaviors in all tasks.
  • Maintain awareness on the sales floor to create a safe, clean, and secure shopping environment; keep exits clear and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
  • Greet Customers with eye contact, a smile, and courtesy; interact respectfully with Associates and customers; assist with merchandise and questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner.
  • Respond promptly to Customer service needs and escalate to Store Leadership when necessary.
  • Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
  • Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies) to maintain store standards.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
  • Perform daily sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, well-merchandised store.
  • Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandise items per guidelines, and maintain brand familiarity within departments to assist Customers.
  • Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
  • Safeguard confidential information and company assets.
  • Follow MOS policies for identification, processing, and disposal of MOS merchandise; handle cash, checks, cards, and refunds with accuracy.
  • Demonstrate urgency to maximize productivity and adhere to Store best practices.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

  • Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/ADA

  • Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies; stockroom shifts may require lifting more than 20 pounds.
