Responsibilities
- Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, making eye contact, and providing friendly service.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
- Be engaged in assigned tasks across store areas as business needs require.
- Follow company best practices and assist with additional tasks as needed to support customer service and operations.
Essential Functions
- Safety is the number one priority; practice safe behaviors at all times.
- Maintain awareness on the sales floor to create a safe, clutter-free environment; report unsafe conditions.
- Treat customers and associates with respect; recognize fellow associates using company programs.
- Assist customers, be register-trained, answer questions, and greet customers throughout the store.
- Respond promptly to customer service calls and escalate to Store Leadership when needed.
- Represent and support the Company brand; safeguard confidential information and merchandise.
- Perform cleaning tasks and replenish supplies to maintain store areas.
- Maintain professional appearance and dress code.
- Perform daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat, clean, and merchandised to standards.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and adhere to presentation guidelines.
- Understand Loss Prevention policies and merchandise protection standards.
- Follow MOS policies and cash handling procedures with accuracy.
- Demonstrate urgency to perform duties efficiently and follow Store best practices.

Qualifications and Special Skills
- Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements / ADA
- Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Ability to lift and push/pull up to 25 pounds (20 pounds for stockroom shifts).
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
