Responsibilities

• Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, making eye contact, and presenting friendly, courteous service.
• Follow company best practices, maintain a clean work area, and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Engage in tasks across store areas as assigned to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Safety is the number one priority; maintain awareness on the sales floor and correct or report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a safe, clutter-free environment and ensure clear egress to exits.
• Treat customers and associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow associates using company programs.
• Assist customers with merchandise, answer questions professionally, and greet customers throughout the store.
• Respond promptly to customer service calls and resolve issues with leadership involvement when needed.
• Represent and support the company brand at all times.
• Perform cleaning tasks and replenish restroom supplies to maintain store areas and restrooms.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Perform daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat and well merchandised.
• Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and follow presentation guidelines.
• Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
• Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
• Follow MOS policies and proper processes for disposals.
• Follow cash handling procedures and maintain accuracy in transactions.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

• Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Ability to use store equipment, including PDAs, registers and PC as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other supplies.
• Some assignments may require other qualifications and skills.
• For Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds.
