Essential Function Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all Primary Duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Primary Duties

Brand (30%) : Supervise and support associates’ daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, and dress code are met. Act as the main contact for customer issues and analyze store trends to anticipate customer demands.

People (30%) : Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit actively and identify strengths and opportunities for each associate, providing coaching or counseling as needed. Maintain positive relations and communicate regularly with the team and peers, fostering diversity and inclusion.

Operations (30%) : Ensure all company processes are executed through training and management. Support digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and follow through on directives and projects.

Safety/Loss Prevention (10%) : Maintain a safe environment, enforce policies, and protect assets through inventory and cash control procedures. Ensure compliance with HAZMAT training and safety standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be 18 years or older

Preferred 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience

Preferred 1+ year management experience

Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and support scheduling needs

Cosmetology license desirable but not required
