Overview
Ever stepped into a retail store and had a phenomenal customer service experience? Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates those experiences and can drive sales while making customers feel special. The role offers potential earnings of $57,172 per year (27.49/hour). This position requires working some evenings, weekends, and holidays, and reporting to the Store Manager with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and other team Specialists.
This role involves connecting customers with Cox's technology, products, and services and helping customers understand what Cox can offer.
Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer needs.
- Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention.
- Assist with opening/closing of the store retail environment.
- Properly handle cash.
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
- Support fellow sales agents when needed.
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings by participating in regular training.
- May be required to work in other locations in the same geographical area.

- Targeted total compensation of $57,172 ($27.49/hr), with top performers earning around $74,4559 ($35.80/hr). Compensation may vary by location, experience, and sales targets. Includes a base hourly rate of $19.00/hr plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,471, with a ramp period up to 2 months.

Who You Are
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell products using a consultative, solutions-based approach
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products and services
- Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory
Preferred:
- Some college experience with focus in sales, business and/or management
- One year of experience in related field (sales, retail, service industry)
- Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: Hourly pay rate is $17.88 - $26.83/hour. In addition to the hourly range, there is an annual incentive/commission target of $17,652.00. Benefits include a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays, plus awareness of additional leave options (bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave).
