We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. This role requires a solid understanding of various automotive systems, including electrical, powertrain, and alignment. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Repair and replace automotive components including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repairs efficiently and effectively. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems. Work on diesel engines, ensuring proper performance and compliance with standards. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's needs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to enhance overall shop efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role, preferably with dealership experience. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, alignment, and electrical systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and equipment. Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is a plus. Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous for certain repair tasks. Ability to work with both hand tools and power tools effectively. Knowledge of GM vehicles is preferred but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills along with attention to detail in repairs and maintenance tasks. Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients.
