Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving issues across various vehicle systems. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction while working on a diverse range of vehicles, including GM models. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid replacements. Repair and replace components of automotive electrical systems, powertrain, and alignment systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs on vehicles. Work with schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems. Execute diesel engine repairs as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's needs and repair processes. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the shop environment. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair techniques for various vehicle systems. Experience working in a dealership setting is preferred but not mandatory. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting methods is essential. Ability to read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems. Experience in diesel engine repair is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs. Previous mechanic experience is required; auto body repair knowledge is an advantage.
