This role is crucial for producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications. The CNC Machinist will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure efficiency and accuracy in manufacturing. Duties Operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to specifications and drawings. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, ensuring adherence to GD&T standards. Set up and calibrate machines, including tooling adjustments and fixture setups. Conduct regular inspections of finished products using precision measuring tools such as micrometers. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assemble components as required, utilizing hand tools and mechanical knowledge for precision assembly. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions to maintain production flow. Skills Proficient in plastics injection molding processes is a plus. Experience with CAD software for designing parts and tooling setups. Strong understanding of GD&T principles for quality assurance. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity. Familiarity with various tooling methods and materials used in CNC machining. Ability to fabricate parts from raw materials using CNC machines effectively. Mechanical knowledge to understand machine operations and perform necessary adjustments. Competence in using hand tools for assembly tasks, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
