A K-8 school is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2025-2026 school year. This part-time, in-person position offers an opportunity to support and empower students with hearing impairments through specialized instruction and services.

Position Details: School Year: August 15, 2025 June 5, 2026 Schedule: 20 hours per week Location: Sonora, CA Service Model: Itinerant support across K-8 grades Setting: In-person only Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing within the K-8 setting Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Provide guidance on the use of hearing assistive technology and communication strategies Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and confidence Desired Qualifications: Certification or licensure in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing Experience working with K-8 students in an educational setting Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently as an itinerant educator traveling between classrooms or schools Commitment to supporting students academic and social development This contract role offers an excellent chance to make an impactful difference in the lives of students with hearing loss.
