Duration: August 6, 2025 June 4, 2026 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Assignment Type: Contract, Itinerant Teacher Student Age Range: 0-22 years old Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, addressing individual educational needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educational staff, families, and support personnel, to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Utilize appropriate communication methods such as American Sign Language, auditory training, and speech therapy support as needed. Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly to inform instruction and adapt strategies. Provide training and resources to staff and families to foster an inclusive learning environment. Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching credential in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related field. Experience working with students across a wide age range from infancy through young adulthood. Strong understanding of assistive technologies, communication methods, and educational strategies for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a diverse educational setting.
