Position Overview
This remote position offers 36 hours per week supporting students from preschool through high school in virtual educational environments. You'll maintain a diverse caseload of approximately 45-55 students, providing comprehensive speech and language therapy through secure, interactive digital platforms designed specifically for educational telepractice. Core Responsibilities
Direct Therapy Services Conduct individual and group speech therapy sessions via secure video platforms Implement evidence-based interventions for articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders Adapt traditional therapy techniques for virtual delivery while maintaining engagement Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support and training Assessment & Evaluation Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations using virtual assessment tools Complete standardized and informal assessments remotely with appropriate modifications Write detailed evaluation reports with actionable recommendations for educational teams Participate in virtual IEP meetings and eligibility determinations Educational Collaboration Work closely with virtual teachers to integrate speech goals into academic activities Provide consultation on communication supports and classroom modifications Support students' participation in virtual classroom discussions and presentations Collaborate with families to extend therapy goals into the home environment Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate therapy notes and progress data in electronic systems Complete IEP goal development and progress monitoring reports Ensure compliance with ASHA Code of Ethics and state regulations Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities Required Qualifications
Professional Credentials Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Active Michigan state speech-language pathology license Minimum 2 years of school-based experience required Technical Requirements Reliable high-speed internet connection with backup options Professional workspace ensuring privacy for therapy sessions Proficiency with video conferencing and digital therapy platforms Strong problem-solving skills for technology troubleshooting Essential Skills Expertise in pediatric speech and language disorders Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Experience with virtual or telehealth service delivery preferred Knowledge of special education processes and IEP development Professional Environment
