School Social Worker

to join our team and support our growing student population. Position Overview:

The School Social Worker will serve as an essential part of the student services team, addressing barriers to learning and promoting student success. This role involves working directly with students, collaborating with families and staff, and connecting with community resources to ensure each child has access to a safe and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' academic and emotional needs

Serve as a liaison between the school, home, and community agencies

Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans

Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans

Support crisis response efforts and provide trauma-informed care

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state and federal guidelines

Qualifications:

Required: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement

Experience working with children or adolescents in school or clinical settings

Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student advocacy

Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish

Familiarity with special education services and procedures

Experience in trauma-informed or restorative practices

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive weekly pay:

$40 $55 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
