Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Learning Specialist / Special Education Teacher
to join our team in a
self-contained middle school Pathways classroom
for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a short-term, full-time position focused on supporting students with
significant and complex needs
in a highly structured environment.

This classroom serves six students who are among the most impacted learners in the school. Students may require
support with feeding, toileting, mobility, communication, and behavior . The ideal candidate is patient, organized, and experienced with
individualized instruction ,
adaptive supports , and
collaborative teamwork . Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with each students IEP goals
Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families
Implement and manage
behavior support plans ,
sensory strategies , and
communication tools
(e.g., AAC devices)
Assist with or oversee
personal care routines , including toileting and feeding protocols
Monitor and document student progress toward academic, functional, and social-emotional goals
Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development as required
Qualifications:
Valid
Special Education Teaching License
Experience working with students with
moderate to severe disabilities , preferably in a self-contained or life skills setting
Familiarity with adaptive curriculum, assistive technology, and personal care supports
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices
